In our Flexi BOGO for WooCommerce plugin, you can create targeted discount rules using a variety of filters to meet your store’s promotional needs. These filters allow you to apply discounts based on specific products, categories, attributes, or tags, offering flexibility and precision in your discount strategies. We provide below filters to set up these discount rules:
1) Products/SKU
2) Category
3) Attributes
4) Tags
Admin Section
To set this up, navigate to WooCommerce -> Flexi BOGO -> Discount Rules -> Click on ‘+ Create Rule’ button.
On the same page, there is a Filter (Buy) section, where you need to select option from the filter dropdown and choose the required option on which the rule will be implemented.
Product Filter (Buy)
Below, we will explore each filter in detail and explain how to use them effectively:
1. Products/SKU
The Products/SKU filter allows you to apply discounts based on specific products or stock-keeping units (SKUs). This filter is ideal when you want to create a promotion centered around particular items in your store.
This setup is useful for promotions like “Buy Product A, Get Product B Free” or “Buy 3 of Product X, Get 1 Free.”
2. Category
The Category filter allows you to apply discounts to all products within a specific category. This filter is useful when you want to create a promotion that applies to a broader range of products.
Choose the category or categories that will trigger the discount. For example, you can create a rule like “Buy any 2 items from the ‘Electronics’ category, Get 1 Free” or “Buy any item from the ‘Summer Collection,’ Get 20% Off another item.”
3. Attributes
The Attributes filter allows you to apply discounts based on specific product attributes, such as color, size, or material. This filter is perfect for creating more granular promotions based on product variations.
Choose the specific attribute (e.g., color, size) and the value (e.g., blue, medium) that will trigger the discount. This is useful for promotions like “Buy any Medium Size T-shirt, Get Another Free” or “Buy any product with a ‘Leather’ attribute, Get 10% Off on the next purchase.”
4. Tags
The Tags filter allows you to apply discounts based on product tags, which can be a flexible way to group products for promotions. Tags are often used to label products with common themes or promotional campaigns.
Choose the specific tag(s) that will trigger the discount. For example, you could create a rule like “Buy any product tagged ‘Clearance,’ Get 50% Off another product” or “Buy 2 products tagged ‘New Arrival,’ Get a 3rd product free.”
After configuring Filter(Buy) option and Discount Settings which we will discuss in detail in the next documentation, make sure to click the “Save Rule” button to ensure your settings are applied. Without saving, your configured discount will not take effect.
Once saved, the rule will be listed in the Discount Rules section, where you can manage and toggle the rule’s status as needed.
