How to Access the Settings?
To access the discount settings, navigate to WooCommerce -> Flexi BOGO -> Discount Rules -> Click on ‘+ Create Rule’ button.
Create Rule
Once you will click on “Create Rule”, you will see the page where you can set up Rule. This is what the default page looks like:
Understanding the Settings
Here are the steps to configure the first section:
1. Set Title: This title will help you identify the discount rule in the list of rules.
2. Enable Rule: Turn ON this setting to activate the rule. This ensures that the rule is applied when the conditions are met. By default, this setting will be disabled.
3. Apply rule if matched and ignore other rules: Also known as Exclusive Mode. When the option “Apply this rule if matched and ignore all other rules” is enabled, all other rules will be ignored, and only this rule will be applied.
For Example :
Let us consider 5 different Discount rules (A, B, C, D, E) and the Exclusive option has been enabled only on the Rule (A) so that only Rule (A) will be applied, and the other rules will be disregarded.
Note: To ensure efficiency, it is advisable to activate this option for one or two rules only.
4. Select DISCOUNT TYPE: Choose the discount type that best fits your promotional strategy. You will have 2 options:
1) Buy X Get Y:
Buy X Get Y discount rule, refers to a promotion where customers who purchase a specific product (X) are eligible for a discount on another product (Y).
For example, if a customer buys M2 iPad Air(X), they can get Free/ Discount on iPad Air Sleeve (Y). This type of promotion is the most popular BOGO deal in the e-commerce world.
2) Buy X Get X:
Buy X Get X discount is a promotion offered in a WooCommerce store where customers receive a discount or free product after purchasing a specified quantity of the same product. This is a popular deal offered by online stores where customers get a free quantity of the same product.
For example, “Buy 3 Get 1 Free” or “Buy One Get 50% off on the second quantity of the same product.” This type of discount encourages customers to purchase more products and can help increase sales and customer loyalty.
After selecting the Discount Type as explained above, the next step is to configure the specific details of your discount. This involves setting the conditions for the Filter (Buy) and Discount according to your promotional requirements.
Here’s how you can proceed:
Filter (Buy) Options:
Define the criteria for what products or categories a customer needs to purchase to qualify for the discount. This can include selecting specific products, SKUs, categories, attributes, or tags that will trigger the discount. Setting up these filters ensures that the discount only applies when the predefined conditions are met.
For detailed instructions on configuring these options, please refer to the Filter (Buy) Options Guide.
Discount Settings:
After defining the Filter (Buy) criteria, specify what discount the customer will receive. This involves selecting the Get Y Discount Type (e.g., product or category) and configuring the Discount Style (e.g., free, fixed, percentage). You can also set whether the discount is recursive, allowing customers to receive multiple discounts based on the quantity purchased.
For more information on setting up discount details, see the Discount Configuration Guide.
After configuring all the settings for your discount rule, click the “Save Rule” button.
Your new rule will now be listed on the Discount Rules page. In the Discount Rules list, you’ll see a toggle switch in “Status” column. You can enable or disable the rule at any time by clicking this toggle switch.
