We have done some major modifications to the following components: Encryption, Editor & Performance.

1. We have changed the encryption for the links that are sent in the Abandoned cart email notifications. Earlier we were using the mcrypt library for encoding the data. If mcrypt library was not installed on the server, then we were using base64 encoding & decoding. Now we have used different functions for encoding the string. We have used microtime function & a security key. Using this security key, and after applying an algorithm on it, we generate the encoded string.

3. The session now starts only on required pages of the store. Earlier it was started globally. This will help to improve the site performance.

2. The Setting “Automatically Delete Abandoned Orders after X days” will now delete all the abandoned carts irrespective of its status. Earlier it was deleting only the carts with the status “Abandoned”.

2. The {{products.cart}} merge tag has now been replaced with a table. Existing templates shall continue to use the merge tag. However, henceforth when you select the {{products.cart}} merge tag, it will insert a table in the editor with the default product fields like Image, Product Name, Quantity, Price & Total. You will be able to add or remove any product field as the individual merge tags for each item as {{item.image}}, {{item.name}}, {{item.price}}, {{item.quantity}}, {{item.subtotal}} have been added separately. The cart total can be displayed using the new merge tag {{cart.total}}.
For existing customers, you can manually replace it with the new table by removing the existing tag and re-entering it in the reminder email template.
This has been created so as to provide full control of what product information should be sent in the notification emails.
3. The product images in the reminder emails have been set to a fixed size to go well with the table.
4. The WooCommerce Abandoned Carts License Management page has now been removed. The fields have been moved to the Settings tab of the WooCommerce->Abandoned Carts menu.
5. Unique coupon codes were not being generated for a template when the reminder emails were sent to multiple users in a single cron job. This has been fixed.
