A flower brand with various branches in Italy: Story of how Frida’s handles their online flower deliveries

You must have heard of online flower shops but Frida’s is much more than that. A concept store where classic and modern come together, an academy for learning all-things-flowers, and an online store selling flowers – that’s what Frida’s represents.  

Spread across various corners of the Italian city centers, Frida’s has been using our Order Delivery Date Pro for WooCommerce plugin for a few months now, i.e, since September 2020. Prior to this, they’ve been a seasoned user of our Order Delivery Date for WooCommerce – Lite plugin. Since flowers are a perishable commodity, it was extremely crucial for them to know the exact delivery date of their customer’s purchases. Knowing this, they would provide timely delivery of the freshest flowers from their shop.   

We had a chance to catch up with Mattia from Frida’s and ask them about their experience of using our plugin.

Here’s how it went 

1) What sort of problem/s have you solved with our Order Delivery Date Pro for WooCommerce plugin?

We have an online shop that sells flowers. This online shop is just a part of the business because our main shop has several branches all over the country (Italy). So, the plugin helps us with the delivery dates chosen by customers. We have set the plugin options based on shipping postcodes, and so whenever the users select a delivery day, we can always assure punctuality over the product delivery.

2) How did using this plugin change your business?

The plugin didn’t change the business, but it made the site and user’s orders easier to manage.

3) Was there any measurable impact from the moment you started using a plugin of ours till now – growth percentage, the monetary increase over time?

Sort of, yes. We could say that when users know precisely when their products are being delivered, they feel assured. And so they are enticed to make another purchase from our e-shop. 

4) Did you use any of the extensions in a fun, experimental way?

No. We didn’t make any experimental use of the plugin. It works perfectly just the way it is.

5) Finally, is there anything else that you would like to share with us?

This plugin is wonderful because it has never turned in an error. It always did (and continues to do) a great job. The only thing that could be implemented in this plugin is a better layout editor for the calendar. For example, in my case, I used a bit of CSS, but I know that not everyone has CSS skills to modify it. That would be the icing on the cake!

To Summarize

We understand that each and every business has unique needs while using our plugins. And to cater to their requirements, we are constantly ensuring that our plugins evolve to fit them. For example, earlier our Order Delivery Date Pro plugin only allowed users to add only a one-time slot at a time. It was a laborious process indeed. After receiving feedback from our customers, we established our plugin to be able to edit the time slots and even add them in bulk!

Another desirable addition to this is our customer support team better known as ‘Support Ninjas’. They have always been up and running in case our clients come across any hurdles related to our plugins. To quote Mattia’s response as a testimonial to this
